Acronis Advanced Email Security, powered by Perception Point, provides next-generation email protection that detects and blocks sophisticated threats including phishing, business email compromise (BEC), zero-day malware, and advanced persistent threats. Operating as a cloud-based email gateway, it scans every inbound and outbound email in real time — intercepting threats before they reach user inboxes.

The platform's multi-layered scanning engine combines anti-spam, anti-phishing, anti-evasion, and anti-malware technologies with a proprietary Hardware-Assisted Platform (HAP) that detonates suspicious content at the CPU level, detecting threats that sandbox-based solutions miss. URL scanning follows redirects and analyses landing page content, catching credential-harvesting sites that use evasion techniques to bypass traditional URL reputation checks.

BEC detection uses natural language processing and sender behaviour analysis to identify impersonation attempts — even when the attacker uses a legitimate-looking domain that hasn't been blacklisted. The platform learns normal communication patterns for each organisation and flags anomalies that indicate social engineering.

Xcobean deploys Acronis Advanced Email Security as an add-on to Acronis Cyber Protect deployments, or as a standalone email security solution for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments. Configuration includes MX record updates, policy tuning, and integration with existing email infrastructure.
