ESET Secure Authentication

ESET Secure Authentication adds a critical second layer of security to business logins by requiring users to verify their identity with a one-time password (OTP) from their mobile device in addition to their regular password. With over 80% of data breaches involving compromised credentials, two-factor authentication (2FA) is one of the most effective security controls an organisation can implement.

The solution supports multiple authentication methods including push notifications (one-tap approval on the mobile app), TOTP codes, SMS codes, hardware tokens, and FIDO2 security keys — allowing organisations to choose the method that best balances security and user convenience. Push notification authentication is the simplest for users: when logging in, they receive a notification on their phone and tap "Approve" to complete the login.

ESET Secure Authentication integrates with Windows login, Remote Desktop (RDP), VPN gateways (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto), web applications via RADIUS or SAML, and Microsoft 365/ADFS. Installation takes minutes through a streamlined setup that integrates with Active Directory, automatically discovering users and enabling enrollment without manual configuration.
