The controller provides a single management interface for all Ruckus network infrastructure, with features including AP provisioning, firmware management, WLAN configuration, guest access portal hosting, location services, and comprehensive analytics. Multi-tenant support allows service providers and large organisations to segment management across departments, regions, or customer accounts while maintaining centralised oversight.

SmartZone's N+1 redundancy ensures high availability — if a controller fails, APs automatically failover to a backup controller with zero impact on connected clients. Hierarchical management allows regional controllers to operate independently while reporting to a central management cluster, providing resilience for distributed networks with unreliable WAN connectivity.
